Just re-read the Hunger Games series in honor of the new trailer! I still really dislike the last two books. It’s a little depressing how Katniss’ personality deteriorates throughout the series; I feel like she had the potential to do so much more with her life than turn into this hollow shell of herself and settle down. But I guess that’s what war does to you…

Love the people that use the argument “______ isn’t natural, so it isn’t right” for controversial issues like sexual orientation and birth control. Your computer, car, iPhone, camera, processed food, and medications you take when you’re sick aren’t exactly “natural” either.

Pull your kids out of school, go live in a cave, and give up your health insurance. Then you can talk to me about morality.

Many women in the big cities of Japan walk pigeon-toed on purpose, with their toes pointed inwards. Apparently this makes them look “cute” and is a very pervasive trend. Not only is that going to fuck up their knees, hips, and back when they get older, it’s also a defining characteristic of children. More pedophilia. When is it going to end? Just because men have been with and married to young girls since the dawn of time doesn’t make it right. We’re more enlightened now. We don’t marry for wealth, or politics, or more hands on the farm. So why are we still obsessed with the schoolgirl?

And the best part is that this sexual obsession with the child, unconscious or not, is just as prevalent here in the United States as it is in Japan and other countries where it’s stereotypically common. Innocence. Virginity. Schoolgirl fetishes. Bleach blonde hair. Huge eyes. Women speaking in baby talk. Getting rid of body hair. ‘Barely Legal’ porn videos. So let’s get rid of our self-righteous anger and analyze where WE’RE going wrong before putting down countries like Japan…because we’re just as guilty.
